InnerPersona (“we,” “our,” “the Service”) takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use InnerPersona, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.
By using InnerPersona, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account information
- Email address — used for authentication and to send you your report or transactional messages
- Display name — optional, self-provided during onboarding
Profile information (all optional, self-provided)
- Age, gender, relationship status, sexual orientation, occupation, whether you have children, country
You are never required to provide this information. Where provided, it is used solely to personalise your report.
Assessment responses
- Your answers to all assessment questions, including personality trait items and informational mental health screening items covering areas such as anxiety, depression, trauma history, attention, and autism-related traits
- Computed scores and trait profiles derived from your responses
Payment information
- Transaction ID and purchase amount — recorded to confirm your purchase and generate your paid report
- We do not store card numbers, bank details, or payment credentials at any point. All payment processing is handled entirely by a third-party payment provider.
Technical and session data
- A device token stored locally on your device — used to enable save and resume without requiring an account
- Session metadata (e.g. which chapter you are on, when your session was last active)
- We do not log your IP address for tracking purposes. We do not use advertising cookies or behavioural tracking pixels.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Generate and deliver your personality report
- Save your assessment progress and allow you to resume where you left off
- Link your session to your account if you sign in
- Process your payment and confirm purchase
- Send you transactional emails (e.g. a link to your report, a resume reminder) — only if you have provided your email
- Improve the Service over time using anonymised, aggregated data only — never individual profiles
We do not use your data for advertising, do not build behavioural profiles for third parties, and do not sell your data.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We use third-party service providers to operate InnerPersona — for purposes including database hosting, application hosting, report generation, payment processing, and transactional email.
Key points:
- Your assessment responses are sent to an AI provider to generate your report. They are not retained by that provider for training purposes beyond what their applicable data processing agreements permit.
- Our infrastructure is hosted on servers located primarily in the United States.
- We require all service providers to handle your data only as necessary to provide the relevant service.
5. What We Don’t Do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not share your data with employers, insurers, or healthcare providers.
- We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking scripts.
- We do not use your data to train AI models.
- We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
6. Profile Sharing and Compatibility Features
InnerPersona may offer features that allow you to share your report or participate in a compatibility analysis with another person. Where these features are available:
- Sharing is entirely opt-in and your responsibility. When you create a share link, anyone with that link can view the shared content.
- We accept no responsibility for how third parties use or interpret shared report content.
- You can revoke sharing at any time by deleting your account or contacting us.
7. Cookies and Tracking
We use only essential cookies — specifically, those required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party tracking technology that monitors your behaviour across other sites.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, all your personal data — including your assessment responses, computed scores, and reports — is permanently deleted. Deletion is irreversible.
To request deletion, contact us at care@innerpersona.me. We will process your request within a reasonable timeframe.
We may retain anonymised, non-identifiable aggregated data indefinitely for product improvement purposes.
9. Your Rights
Regardless of where you are located, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate information
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Ask questions about how your data is used

10. Children
InnerPersona is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have done so, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us with their data, please contact us.
11. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and row-level security policies in our database to ensure that you can only access your own data.
That said, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and are not liable for unauthorised access caused by factors beyond our reasonable control.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Your continued use of InnerPersona after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you via email or an in-app notice.
